廖晓义, 北京乐和社会工作服务中心创办人兼主任，中山大学哲学硕士、美国费尔菲尔德大学名誉法学博士；1996年创办公益组织北京地球村环境教育中心，以传统智慧推动绿色社区、绿色生活和绿色传媒的理论与实践。2008年以来深入四川地震灾区建设生态乡村，创办乐和书院，培育国学社工, 相继为渝、湘、鲁、浙等地的乐和家园建设提供社工服务。曾获2000年国际环境大奖“苏菲奖”、 国家环保部等七大部委颁发的“2006绿色中国年度人物”、民政部颁发的2008“中华慈善奖”、《中国慈善家》“2016中国社会十大推动者”及中国社会工作联合会“2016年度中国十大社工人物”。

  Liao Xiaoyi, founder and the director of Beijing Lehe Community Social Service Center. Master of Philosophy,Zhongshan University, Honorary Doctor of Law, Fairfield University. 1996, Liao established and launched the non-profit organization of ”Global Village Beijing (GVB)” environmental education center. It promotes the green community by traditional wisdom, ecological livestyles and green media in both theory and practice. Since 2008, she has been to the earthquake-stricken Sichuan province, Hunan, Shandong and Zhejiang provinces, helping the Chinese society to grow by building ecological villages, Lehe academy and cultivating the social workers and talents. For her tireless work and efforts, Liao is a recipient of numerous domestic and international awards, such as the environment Prix "Sophie Prize" from Norway 2000, “Green Person of the year award” for environmental achievement by Joint committee of seven Ministries led by Ministry of Environment 2006, “Most influential Charity Project Award” by Ministry of Civil Affairs 2008, her name has been put on “Chinese Philanthropist” magazine as one of the top ten promoters of Chinese society in 2016, and she has also been rewarded as “China 's top ten social workers“ by National Federation of Social Work.
